Supêsu Ozu no bôken (English: The Wonderful Galaxy of Oz) is a 1992 anime sci-fi adaptation of the classic story The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. Produced by E&G Productions, the series aired on TV Tokyo in 26 episodes. It was later dubbed in English and heavily truncated to 75 minutes for an OVA, released in 1996.The year is 2060; Dorothy Gale and her mutant dog Talk-Talk have just been swept away from their home planet of New Kansas to a strange galaxy called Oz, where she befriends an unlikely band of heroes. Together, they're recruited to obtain three magic crystals to help the good Dr. Oz prevent the evil witch Glumilda from taking over the galaxy.

After his witch guardian Mombi threatens to turn him into a statue, young Tip decides to run off to Emerald City with his newly-animated companion, Jack. Along the way, he meets up with Genral Jinjur, leader of the Army of Revolt, who takes Tip prisoner as she marches her troops to take over the Emerald City. Tip escapes to warn the scarecrow, now the ruler of the city, and together they leave to find the Tin Woodsman and form their own army.
